5 things you should NEVER do after sex
Is it wonderful to lie in each other's arms after a hot lovemaking and prefer not to get out of bed? Sounds like a good idea, but it's better not to do this. Here are a few things you should NEVER (but never) do after sex to keep your lady parts as healthy as possible!
1. Skip peeing after sex
We're probably all familiar with this one, but we don't always do it. You are so comfortable in that warm bed and you absolutely do not feel like getting out. Still, this is wise. During sex, bacteria from the male genitals can end up in the vagina. And this can lead to a bladder infection or other nasty infections and that is not fun . You can prevent this by visiting the toilet within an hour and discharging this penile bacteria. After that you can snuggle up against your lover in bed.
2. Wash yourself
After sex, do you have the pressing urgency to clean that va-jay-jay of yours? Do not. Firstly, it is not necessary, because the vagina is a self-cleaning organ . Secondly, washing the vagina can lead to an allergic reaction of the skin, because the skin reacts differently during intercourse. Using soap is not recommended at all. This dries out the vagina and thus disrupts the pH value , which increases the risk of a yeast infection . And that's really not cool . If you really want to do something, take a shower and only use water!
3. Fall asleep in your sexy underwear
Those sexy panties that are lying on the floor somewhere right now? Just leave them alone. Most lingerie is made of synthetic fabrics such as nylon or polyester . These are fabrics that often do not allow air to pass through properly, so that sweat and bacteria stick. Bah . Putting it back on after sex can cause an infection . So rather sleep naked or in cotton underpants.
4. Use wet wipes
It sounds like the perfect idea to just wipe it off with a damp cloth after sex. Still, it's far from perfect. These wipes all contain chemicals such as alcohol , oils and perfume that can irritate the skin. The skin of the vagina may then become red , swell and itch . Especially if you are sensitive to this. Do you want to wash yourself? Then only use water.
5. Dive into the bubble bath
This also sounds like such a good idea, but unfortunately it is not. Sexual stimulation causes your va-jay-jay to swell, making you more likely to get infected . If you also dive into a warm bath with your lover, you are exposed to the bacteria of his skin . Research has shown that prolonged exposure to warm water reduces the antibacterial effect of the skin.
So what should you do after sex?
Drink a good glass of water. A sex party can sometimes be quite a workout, making you sweat and therefore lose moisture. It is therefore wise to replenish the lost moisture, especially if you go to sleep afterwards!
